Description
4/22/24 – This is a nice example of a Colt 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It was sold to the American public through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). It comes with its original CMP Certificate of Authenticity, owners manual, CMP Pelican-style case, gun lock, and one post-war magazine. The frame was made by Ithaca, Remington Rand slide, and a period-correct High Standard barrel. The gun itself has retained roughly 80% of its finish with thinning on the straps and honest wear throughout, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips. Factory-new bore.
