7/25/23 – This is a very nice example of a Long Branch No 4 Mk 1* rifle issued to the British military in 1944. All matching. There is an “ROF (F) FTR marking on the receiver, indicating it was Factory Thorough Repaired or Reconditioned at the Fazakerley arsenal. Savage-marked front barrel band. The metal parts have retained roughly 85% of their black enamel finish with spotty wear and chipping of the finish around the front barrel band and on the magazine. Minty blonde wood furniture that has been finished with a thin layer of lacquer. There is tape adhesive residue on the left side of the butt stock. Mint bore.
