8/8/24 – This is a WW2 M1 Carbine Canvas Carrying Case. The case is made from thick OD canvas with an all-brass zipper assembly. The top of the zipper is maker stamped “TALON”, and has an attached leather pull strap. Fully functional with both leather tabs clean and excellent. The canvas has all original stitching and is fairly clean with minimal staining and normal age wear. There’s a cut in the canvas that doesn’t quite go all the way through; located near the toe on one side (see last 2 photos). One side of the exterior is stamped “U.S.”, while the interior bears a maker and date stamp, as shown. Also note that the carry strap is missing, which looks intentionally removed based on the clean stitching holes from where the strap was once anchored. Price reduced accordingly.
