1/6/25 – This is a very nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is “United States Property” marked, has a cross-canon cartouche, and has the proper “FJA” inspector initials. “HS” High Standard barrel. It has retained about 93% of its original parkerized finish. There is just general high edge wear with light brown patina throughout. A few small spots of light freckling here and there. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a proper “R” marked magazine. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is noticeable pin-pricking throughout.
