11/12/24 – This is a very nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is “United States Property” marked, has a cross-canon cartouche, and has the proper “FJA” inspector initials. “F” Flannery barrel. It has retained about 90% of its original parkerized finish. There is wear/discoloration concentrated on the front strap, underside of the trigger guard, and at the right front of the frame. Small spot of oxidation on the front strap. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a proper “R” marked magazine. Excellent bore.
