Description
8/17/23 – This is an excellent example of a Swedish Mauser Husqvarna Model 1896, manufactured in 1944 and chambered in 6.5mm Swedish. These were civilian rifles built on the Swedish Mauser action. They were competition/target guns used by members of the Swedish Volunteer Sharpshooting Movement, Frivilliga Skytterorelsen (FSR). It is mismatched and has retained about 96% of its finish. There is minor high edge wear in general, but most of the finish loss is around the muzzle. There are a few very light scratches on the floor plate. There is also an area of discoloration and surface rust at the back of the receiver where it looks like some embellishment was removed. Excellent wood furniture, but the stock disc is missing. Factory-new bore.
