6/12/23 – This is a very nice example of an AC 44 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching with the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a nice 1944-dated soft shell holster and two period-correct “Eagle 359” marked Walther magazines. The gun itself has retained about 92% of its original finish. Areas of wear around the muzzle, along the barrel, and on the front edges of the slide. Minor thinning and brown patina on the front strap. Fitted with excellent blackish-brown bakelite grips. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
