6/25/25 – This is a really neat relic of history. It is a Colt 1911A1 that was originally issued to the US military in 1945. At some point, we assume the gun was torch-cut in three places – you can see the three distinct melted areas on the left side of the gun. As a result, the slide and frame are permanently joined together. This is no longer a functional firearm and does not require an FFL. The gun has retained most of its original parkerized finish. It is fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a post-war magazine.
