3/23/2023 – This is a 1950’s Springfield M1 Garand. Both the receiver and barrel are Springfield marked and date to 1954.Both the stock and barrel have DOD approval stamps, and the end of the barrel is National Match marked. The metal parts have retained about 93% of their finish. It does exhibit some general high edge wear, and some thinning along the barrel. There is no major damage to the wood furniture, but there are noticeable bruises and dings throughout. Bore is minty. Muzzle reading is a 3 and throat reading is a 2. Comes with an excellent leather sling.
