7/10/23 – This is an early 2nd generation Colt Single Action Army revolver, manufactured in 1959 and chambered in .45 Caliber. These are sometimes referred to as “black box” models, because they would’ve come in the earlier black cardboard box. This one also has a scarce 4 5/8″ barrel. It is matching and has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. There is scratchy wear on both grip straps with an area of minor pitting on the back strap. Light scratchy wear along the barrel and some thinning on the ejector tube. Some areas of minor thinning and freckling on both sides of the case-hardened receiver. Fitted with excellent black plastic grips. Mint bore.
