Description
8/14/23 – This is a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, manufactured in 1860. It has a 6″ barrel and is chambered in .31 Caliber. It is all matching except for the cylinder. It looks like it had a nickel-plated finish that has almost completely worn away. Most of the remaining finish is on the frame and cylinder. Minor pitting throughout, most noticeable along the barrel. There is a spot that looks like dried adhesive on the left side of the barrel. There is no visible stagecoach scene on the cylinder. Fitted with fairly worn wood grips. The bore has decent rifling, but there is noticeable pitting throughout. Fully functional.
