2/27/24 – This is a very nice example of an AC 44 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. All matching with the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs. Its original finish rates about 90%. Virtually all of the wear is on the front strap, where there is also some oxidation. Fitted with period-correct reddish grips and comes with a P.38v magazine with no proofs. The bore is mostly shiny with strong rifling, but there are some areas of light freckling. De-cocker is functional. The gun comes with a photocopy of an original Customs Declaration form that lists a P.38 and a camera. However, there is no serial number listed, so we cannot connect this document to this particular pistol. They came together from the previous owner.
