06/07/2024 – For sale is an Arisaka Type 2 Paratrooper made for the airborne units of Imperial Japan. This rifle is in excellent condition after the war and retains the majority of its original finish. The rifle has a partially visible mum but a portion of it has been ground. The rifle is matching on the receiver and bayonet lug. The bolt looks matching at first but we believe it has been force matched to make a 0 look like a 9. The firing pin is stamped 140. The assembly numbers match on the mid section. The bore is bright with good rifling but it does get frosted at the muzzle.
