8/30/23 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 38 Carbine issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is all matching and has an intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. There is almost no actual finish loss on the metal parts. However, there are areas of minor pitting on most of the metal parts – most noticeable on the receiver. There is also spotty oxidation on the bolt and bolt release. The stock shows the typical signs of wear. There are some more noticeable scratches on both sides of the butt stock. Mint bore.
