Description
8/31/23 – This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is mismatched and has a ground Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. The metal parts have been refinished. There is very little finish loss, but there is some very light freckling along the barrel. Spotty patina on the butt plate. The wood furniture shows the typical signs of use and wear, and there are “R.T.” initials carved into the left side of the butt stock. Mint bore. Comes with a reproduction leather sling.
