2/2/22 – This is a very nice, original Army Colt 1911A1 from late 1944.Proper inspectors marks on frame and slide, with GHD marking on left side frame and ordnance cannons on right side.About 95% of the original parkerized finish remains with standard high edge wear on slide and front edge of frame, and a little more on the front strap.Proper Colt barrel with small ‘F’ under lug.Excellent grips.Bore is shiny with strong rifling but has a little freckling throughout the grooves.Original ‘L’ marked magazine.Only detractor is a previous owner lightly scratched his initials under the ‘P’ proof on the frame, but it’s small and semi-difficult to see.
