9/27/23 – This is a nice example of an Arsenal-refurbished Remington Rand 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1945. It is “United States Property” marked, has a military cross-canon cartouche, and has the proper “FJA” inspector initials. Period-correct High Standard barrel. This one comes with its matching-numbered arsenal “craft” box and onemagazine. The gun has retained most of its finish with minor wear on the front strap. There are casting flaws covering the whole slide that have the appearance of pitting. There is minor pitting along the whole bore.
