7/17/24 – This is a nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is United States Property marked, has the proper FJA inspection initials, and has a cross-canon military cartouche. Correct HS High Standard barrel. The gun comes with two magazines and a nice custom-made wood presentation case. The gun has retained about 95% of its original finish. While there is not much actual finish loss, there is some spotty oxidation and minor pitting on the left side of the slide. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
