5/10/24 – This is an original US Civil Defense helmet. These were issued to “town leaders” or volunteers who helped prepare citizens for any invasion or attack in the 1950s and 1960s. The helmet is in good condition with its original paint and scratches throughout. The interior canvas liner is still in tact as well. There’s some mild wear and signs of aging throughout. The helmet is US Government Property marked on the inside. A nice example of US history.
