Description
2/17/25 – For sale is a Type 44 carbine made at the Koishikawa Arsenal. The carbine retains an excellent bluing but the stock has been aggressively sanded. The receiver retains the full Imperial Mum. The stock is sanded smooth and has lost most of its proofs. There are no cracks or breaks. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bayonet assembly, bolt handle, dust cover, and safety knob. The extractor is marked with an assembly number that is not associated with the rifle. The bore is bright with good rifling but the grooves near the muzzle are slightly darkened.
