1/7/25 – For sale is an Arisaka Type 38 Carbine made at the Koishikawa Arsenal. This example had been removed from service as noted by the 00 serial prefix that was added on. The rifle is in good condition overall for its age and the metal retains a nice bluing with dotting of oxidation. The Imperial Mum has been ground away. The carbine has mismatched serial numbers. The bolt handle has been bent down. The stock is in good condition but there is a 3″ crack on the left side of the wrist coming form the upper tang and another 3.5″ one on the right side. There is another 2.5″ hairline crack coming from the trigger guard on the right side. The lands on the bore has a hint of brightness but the grooves are dark. The rifling is worn at the muzzle.
