11/21/23 – This is a clean example of a Spencer Repeating Carbine that was made around the Civil War. The Spencer was one of the early adopters of repeating carbine that was used in service by a nation. For its age, the carbine is in great condition with patina throughout on the metal. The stock is in great shape with no damage. The bore is bright but there is speckling of pitting throughout. The receiver is stamped “Spencer Repeating Rifle Co, Boston, MA” on top with the serial number behind the chamber.
