5/29/25 – This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver from 1856. It is completely matching has a 4″ barrel, and is chambered in .31 Caliber. There is a stagecoach robbery scene on the cylinder (about 85% visibility). Overall, it is in very nice condition for its age. There is still original bluing visible on the barrel and cylinder and original case-hardening on the frame and loading lever. Noticeable splotchy discoloration on the barrel. Fitted with period-correct wood grips. The bore is excellent for its age – mostly shiny with great rifling and a couple of small dots of oxidation. Fully functional. No FFL required.
