Description
3/3/23 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1901 issued to the US military in 1901. It is all matching and has the proper “RAC” inspector initials on the frame, cylinder, and bottom edge of the right grip panel. It comes as a rig with a nice brown leather holster. There is very little actual finish loss on this gun. However, There is noticeable splotchy discoloration and spotty oxidation throughout. Original lanyard ring is intact. Fitted with fairly worn grips – the right panel is hand-numbered, but the number is illegible. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there are some small dots of oxidation here and there. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
