Description
3/8/24 – This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1917 Revolver issued to the US military during WW1. All matching, “United States Property” marked, and “Eagle Head S20” military proofed. It comes as a rig with a nice 1917-dated leather holster. The gun itself has retained about 93% of its original bluing. There is minor high edge wear in general, some muzzle wear, a spot of wear on the back strap, and a light roll mark on the cylinder. Fitted with period-correct but mismatched wood grips – some bruising along the bottom edges. The bore has good rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout.
