Description
4/14/25 – This is a nice example of an early Colt Government Model 1911 sold in the commercial market in 1913. It is all correct except for the barrel, which is a replaced “Square C” Colt barrel. Its original high polish Colt bluing rates roughly 65-70%. There is honest, spotty wear throughout concentrated mostly on the top of the slide and on the front strap. Beautiful fire-bluing still visible on the hammer trigger, mag release button, and thumb safety. Fitted with period-correct wood grips (small “K” stamp on both sides) and comes with one magazine (lanyard loop) on the base. Mint bore.
