10/10/23 – This is a military-issued Egyptian Helwan, chambered in 9mm. This is not one of the imports made for commercial sales, this is full military with Arabic writing and serial numbers. The slide has Arabic writing on the right side, and the left side says “Helwan Cal. 9mm UAR”. It does not say “Made in Egypt” like the commercial imports. No import marks. This particular example has retained roughly 85% of its finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also high edge wear in general. Tiny scratches throughout and a series of tiny dings on the right side of the slide. Fitted with black plastic grips – tiny scratches throughout. Comes with one proper magazine. Very nice bore with good rifling.
