3/21/25 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser Banner Luger issued to the Nazi police force in 1939. It is all matching, has the proper police “Eagle L” proof on the right side of the slide, and has an installed police sear safety. It comes as a rig with two original matching-numbered magazines, an un-marked tool, and a 1939-dated police holster. The holster has been dyed black, shows obvious scuffing throughout, and some of the stitches from the closure strap are missing. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original finish. Just minor high edge wear, muzzle wear, and hints of thinning on the grip straps. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips – tiny chip near the safety on the left side. The majority of the bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there is some light freckling in the grooves here and there.
