1/16/25 – This is a minty example of a Mauser K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. All of the numbered parts are matching except for one or two of the internal parts. A number of the parts have no serials such as the barrel bands, bolt release lever, follower, butt plate, floor plate, and trigger group. The stock is un-numbered and has no visible proofs.It is lightly sanded, and likely a replacement.The gun has retained most of its finish. However, the bolt, floor plate, and trigger group have no finish with tiny dots of oxidation on those parts. Tiny dots of oxidation covering the butt plate as well. The stock is minty but was likely sanded. The gun comes with a period-correct leather sling. Mint bore.
