3/17/25 – This is an excellent, 1944 Mauser P.38 with a beautiful dual tone finish. Includes an excellent pebble brain holster and one correct, re-blued, magazine. After Mauser began phosphating major subassemblies, they continued to use up their current inventory of blued components. The mix of these parts resulted in distinctive blue/gray (dual tone) combinations. Production of this variation is estimated to be 27,250. This is example has retained virtually all of its original finish, with just a bit of high edge wear and and minor use wear. The bore is excellent rates a strong 9 of 10. All matching with a functional de-cocker. Fitted with an excellent set of black plastic grips. Includes an excellent pebble grain holster stamped with military proof marks and date. Beautiful piece.
