5/29/25 – This is an excellent example of a 1944 Dual Tone P.38 with a blued barrel and a phosphate finish on the slide and frame. All matching with the proper “Waffen 135” military acceptance proofs. These finishes are a bit tough to rate, but we estimate this one has retained about 96%. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is spotty discoloration here and there – typical for the phosphate finishes. Fitted with reddish bakelite grips. Comes with two un-proofed magazines – one has an electro pencil number that does not match the gun. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
