5/26/23 – This is an original WW2 German Army dagger produced by Eickhorn. This example is in excellent overall condition. The blade is very clean with visible cross graining and minimal surface speckling and some light patina. The hand guard and pommel both retain some of their original finish, although there is some mild surface patina and light edge wear on both. The burnt-orange colored bakelite handle has no cracks or chips. The only flaw on this offering is found on the scabbard. The lower ring is loose and not secure – see photos. Otherwise the scabbard is in great condition with some original finish intact, and no dents.
