Description
5/15/24 – This is an original, excellent condition K98 Rifle Bayonet with a matching serial numbered scabbard. The blade is clean and minty with nice original finish throughout. Minimal scabbard rub wear and no signs of sharpening. The base of the blade is maker stamped on one side and serial numbered on the other. The spine of the blade is 1940 dated. Mild finish loss on the cross guard and pommel but no rust or pitting and most of the original finish is excellent. Excellent original grips as well. The scabbard has equally excellent blued finish that’s clean throughout and has no dents. Matching numbered, maker stamped, and 1940 dated near the mouth of the scabbard, as shown.
