2/17/25 – For sale is a very nice Springfield Model 1884 made in 1884. The rifle is in excellent shape with the trap door retaining its case colored finish. The rest of the rifle retains an aged blue finish with some finish loss on the hammer. The stock is in great shape with minor handling marks. The inspector stamp is still fairly sharp. The right side of the stock is stamped with an “8” and “1”. The wrist area is stamped “CB” and the circle P. The bore is bright with great rifling and there are still pockets of grease. The ramrod bayonet functions properly and locks in place.
