9/19/25 – For sale is a Springfield Krag Model 1892 made in the first year of production of 1894. The rifle shows its age and has a layer of patina and speckling of oxidation on the metal. The barrel retains a bluing that’s turning grey. The stock is in great shape without any cracks. There are numerous handling marks and scratches. The Inspection stamp is still sharp. The year is stamped 1895. The bore is dark and the rifling is worn away. The rifle did receive 1896 updates like on the bolt. The magazine cutoff switch is fairly stiff.
