4/23/25 – For sale is a Scarce Syrian Contract MAS 49 made in the 50’s. The rifle is in good condition overall with a nice markerized finish on the metal. There are plenty of handling marks visible throughout. The stock and forend have been lightly sanded. There is a 2″ chunk missing on the left side above the trigger. The rest of the wood is in good structural condition. The bore is bright with strong rifling. There is a 1/2″ counterbore at the muzzle. The serial numbers are matching on the receiver, forestock, stock, and trigger guard. The bolt and bolt carrier are mismatched from the receiver, and the top cover is not numbered where it normally is. The crosspit for the foreend is absent. The muzzle has a grenade launching muzzle, so state laws apply .
