Description
6/13/23 – This is a French St. Etienne MLE 1874/M80 Rifle manufactured in 1880 and chambered in 11x59mm Rimfire. It has the proper French proofs throughout, but the stock and bolt are mismatched to the receiver. It has two brass barrel bands, and the barrel measures 26.75″. Overall, the gun is in fair condition. There is not much actual finish loss on the metal parts, but there is heavy brown patina and spotty oxidation throughout. There is no major damage to the wood stock, but there are obvious dings, dents, and bruises throughout. Missing its original cleaning rod. Interestingly enough, the bore is mint.
