5/2/24 – This is an original WW2 German Party Leader belt and buckle. The buckle is in excellent condition with clean gold gilded finish. There’s minimal high-edge patina. The interior of the buckle is RZM stamped with “M4/46” maker code for Wilhelm Schr??der & Co.. The leather belt is excellent with clean interior and a bright, light brown colored exterior. The interior leather tongue is black pigskin or elephant skin style, which appears to be original and period correct (the stitching is tight and aged, as is the leather). However, since this is different than the rest of the belt leather, it’s possible this tongue piece is period replacement. The hooked-end of the belt is RZM stamped on the metal fastening hook (M4/27).
