1/14/25 – For sale is a very nice Kar 88 made by CG Haenel in 1892. This carbine is a shortened variant of the Gewehr 1888. The rifle is in great condition overall with the metal retaining a very nice bluing throughout. The receiver is in the white with a polished finish but some cloudiness of slight oxidation are visible. The bolt release lever retains a hint of its fire blued finish. The nose cap and barrel bands have some finish loss. The stock is excellent with no cracks or breaks but there are handling marks visible. The cartouches on the bottom of the stock are sharp. This carbine is matching throughout down to the action screws. The bore is bright with great rifling.
