8/20/24 – This is a minty, unissued condition WW2 German Heer (Army) Officer’s Sword Portepee. The portepee is held together by two pieces of string, and appears to have never been issued or untied. Minty condition throughout, with one small spot of glue or residue found at the top of the rolled silver aluminum wire acorn style knot. The twisted bullion is tight throughout the knot, and the leather chord has clean silver aluminum wiring thread lined within. A beautiful example acquired directly from the Veteran’s family.
