4/17/25 – For sale is a Steyr 1895 Stutzen chambered in 8x56r Mannlicher. The carbine is in good condition overall with a nice military blue finish on the metal. There’s some dotting of old oxidation along the woodline. The stock has been lightly sanded and there is a plug installed at the wrist. There is corrosion on the buttplate. The bore is fairly bright with strong rifling. The bolt has been forcematched to the receiver with E-pencil. The stock is mismatched. There is a unit mark “Z.W. 1399” on the buttplate. The rear sight is only marked “4” and no other marking. There are also no graduation notches for further distances. Theres also a “SW” stamped to the left of the rear sight base. There is a hairline crack behind the tang about 1″ in length.
