7/25/23 – This is a nice example of an Iraqi-contract JP Sauer K98 put together using leftover WW2 parts. The gun is mismatched but has the proper Iraqi triangle proofs on the receiver and breech. Also “Crown U” proofed. The receiver has an “S/147/G” JP Sauer factory code. Import mark on the barrel. The metal parts have retained about 90% of their finish with areas of light scratchy wear here and there. While there isn’t a lot of actual finish loss, there is minor pitting under the finish on the receiver. Excellent wood stock. Comes with an excellent leather sling. Near-mint bore.
