8/28/24 – For sale is a great and original condition K98 dress bayonet. This bayonet comes with an original frog and scabbard. The Frog has a rip on the top part of the hole where the frog stud goes and is missing one of the rivets, but it has tight and complete stitching. Frog is also maker-marked and dated, but some words aren’t legible: “Pinneber 1940”. The scabbard has a fair amount of finish loss but has no dents or deep pitting. The blade has light pin pricking throughout and light scabbard wear but is free from surface rust or pitting. The edge has not been post-factory sharpened. Ricasso is a maker marked “Alcoso.” Bayonet is equipped with a pair of excellent black bakelite grips that show virtually no wear.
