Description
6/2/23 – This is a WW2-era Mauser M1934 issued to the Nazi Kreigsmarine. This particular example has an “Eagle M” Kriegsmarine marking on the left side of the frame and a “N 7978” navy property mark on the front strap. About 23,000 M1934’s were procured and marked by the Nazi Navy from 1935-1941. Since this one is “Eagle N” proofed, it likely dates to about 1940. All parts are matching. Comes as a rig with a mismatched “O” property marked Navy magazine and an un-marked Navy-style holster. There are remnants of an old sticker on the front, and the closure strap is very weak and almost torn off. The gun itself has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also muzzle wear and some spotty wear along both sides of the slide. An area of scratching on the right side of the frame. There are areas of spotty oxidation and minor pitting here and there, most noticeable at the front left of the slide and around the ejection port. Fitted with a nice period-correct wood grip. Minty bore.
