12/12/24 – This is an excellent example of a late-war Walther PPK from 1944. All matching and “Eagle N” proofed. This gun falls in the correct serial range for an SS contract in 1944. This particular serial range is referred to as a “Variation 5” starting on page 80 of Tom’s “SS Contract Walther PP/PPK” book. The magazine is numbered and mismatched, but it is in the same SS contract as the gun. The gun has retained about 95% of its original wartime finish. There is minor high edge wear, some very minor thinning and very light pin-pricking on the left side of the slide, and some light freckling here and there. It is fitted with an appropriate late-war black bakelite grip. Excellent, shiny bore.
