3/22/24 – This is a rare variation, late WW2 soft shell style P.38 holster. The holster is rare due to the 1-piece construction of the holster’s main body. Most examples have a separate, sewn-on lid in the soft shell style. We speculate this single-piece construction was a late war manufacturing edit to hasten production. The holster is marked on the back leather “dkk 44” with a waffen military proof stamp. Also notable is the lack of a P.38 designation stamp. Again this is a somewhat rare and unique feature of this variation. The holster is in excellent condition with clean, soft leather throughout. Normal pliability and all original stitching in tact.
