2/28/24 – This is an early original WW2 Pilot Observer Badge by Berg & Nolte, in L?ºdenscheid. The badge features early tombac two-piece construction with a silver eagle and gold gilded wreath. The eagle is highly detailed and premium quality materials that retain a good portion of the original finish. The wreath is in similar condition, with normal high edge wear and mild patina throughout but the gold color still easily visible. Natural aging and handling wear but no excessive damage. The reverse of the eagle is maker stamped “B&N L” as shown. Original clasp is functional with no signs of tampering. Comes with a nice display case. Overall a very nice, straightforward and highly collectible example.
