12/17/24 – This M1 Carbine stock is made of birch wood and is in great+ condition, showing only minor wear and scratches, particularly on the right side of the stock. The stock features a recoil plate but does not include a butt plate, and there is a cut on the side where the butt plate would normally attach. The stock is unmarked, which could indicate it was either a replacement part or one from a lesser-known manufacturer. Despite the minor imperfections, the stock remains in solid condition with no major cracks or damage, making it a good candidate for restoration or replacement of the butt plate. It’s a functional piece for those looking to complete or restore an M1 Carbine.
