5/29/24 – This is an original, iconic WW1 US M1917 Trench Knife. The knife comes complete with an original scabbard. The knife blade is 3-sided. There’s mild finish loss on each side of the blade, but overall the original finish is near-excellent for a WW1 example. The hand guard has a few small dings and imperfections, but the original finish is mostly intact. Very nice wood handle with no cracks or chips. The scabbard is excellent, with a fairly clean leather body and minimal patina on the metal tips. Maker marked “JEWELL 1918” on the scabbard leather. This is a very nice original example.
