9/4/24 – This is a nice example of a Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Rifle, manufactured in 1895 and chambered in .38-55 WCF. It comes equipped with a peep-style adjustable rear sight. The finish on the metal rates roughly 50%. There is still some case-hardening on the receiver that is just barely visible in some areas, but it is mostly worn. There is general high edge wear and areas of spotty brown “attic patina” here and there, most noticeable on the receiver. The wood stock is fairly nice, but there are a few noticeable scratches on the left side of the butt stock and a decently sized chip near the buttplate. Minty bore.
